Tetsujin Kumite II (Kyokushin Iron Man Challenge)

Kyokushin Philly's Fight Club teams up with USKA Fight Sports to bring you the second Tetsujin Kumite Challenge (Iron Man Kumite)!  A unique event, the Tetsujin Kumite is an Iron Man Kyokushin Sparring Challenge where all competitors fight back to back 1 minute round robin matches in a 5-10 man Full Knockdown division with NO HEAD CONTACT. 

Our Iron Man Kyokushin Challenge returns December 3rd to Allentown, PA as the Tetsujin Kumite II! Held as an early daytime event before the USKA hosts a Muay Thai Kickboxing event later that evening, we have been given full access to use the USKA ring for our event!

 

In order to show the full spirit of Karate to the world, we will put together 5-10 fighters to fight in the USKA Kickboxing ring in a smaller scale version of Mas Oyama's 100 Man Kumite.  1 fighter will go in the center to fight each of the other 5-10 competitors in 1 on 1 back to back 1 minute rounds.  After the fighter has finished their 5-10 rounds, they will rejoin the other fighters to give the next fighter their turn to be in the center to fight all competitors in the division in back to back rounds in the same fashion.  This will continue until ALL COMPETITORS have had a turn to be the "Iron Man" in the center.   

 

While it is Full Contact, we are however trying to make a FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT, and while we encourage competitors to fight hard and push their opponent, we ask fighters to keep in mind we want fighters to be able to continue fighting even after their turn so that everyone will have a chance to fight everyone without anyone being taken out due to injuries.  Therefore we ask fighters to not intentionally injure or maliciously attack each other and to go at approximately 90-95%.   

 

All competitors will receive an award if they complete the challenge with a special award issued to the "Most Spirited Fighter" 

 

This Knockdown event will serve as an under card event during the day time before a USA boxing event at 1pm and the USKA Kickboxing matches later in the evening!

REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER:

-Must be 18 years or older

-No novices/beginners (White/Orange Belts)

-10 Fighters MAX (registration will close when 10 have entered)

-Please Arrive between 8:30am-8:45pm for Registration.

-Fights start at 9am sharp

-No Weigh In

-Registration closes DECEMBER 1ST

-Fighter Registration available ONLINE ONLY via Paypal (no same day registration or cash)

-Spectators may purchase tickets online or at door for $10 (cash only day of event)

-Kids Under 4 years old free
